Great success, picked up a few good brands. Had appointments in Perth and Sydney with suppliers and they went well also.

When I got back from being in Sydney for two days, isla was the most excited to see me. I can't believe it she turned into a boy while I was gone. She has sarted pushing trucks around and making the noises. Ryan has been doing this for ages but I hadnt seen her do it until now.

Ryan has the biggest hands I have ever seen on a child of his age, Isla's are tiny in comparisen. Ryan is a very cuddly little boy, he loves to cuddle on the couch, so nice. I would not be surprised if he ends up a sportsman, he can sit opposit you and throw a ball to you and when I say to you I MEAN to you. He is amazing how straight his throwing is.

Henry will be five in two weeks, I find it hard to believe its been that long already. He is really growing up, all independant and then little things happen like when he cant get his t-shirt off for a bath, I remember that he is still just my eldest baby.

Charlie has the most charicter I have ever seen in a little boy, he just oozes it. Yesterday we had Amelias 1st B'day party and after eating cake he was walking around with his plate on his head and if you looked at him he would give you the huggest grin. Tonight I was so annoyed because he did a wee on the kitchen floor, I asked him why did you do that "just cos".

Today is monday and on Wednesday Damon and I head to Perth to fly out first thinh Thursday morn for NZ. I am not excited, I dont want to leave my kiddies. I know H & C will understand but not my babies, Isla will think I have deserted her. I know a week will go really quick but still I will miss them.

He Said

Yesterday Henry sarted Pre-Primary, as we drope down the drive way he said "you are not a very good driver, sometimes you drive in the paddock".

When we were in Albany we drove past a house Henry liked and he said "I wish we could live in Albany so then dad wouldnt have to go and do harvest"

The twins have just gone 14 months and boy have they grown up. They are just so precious, I can't believe how lucky we are to have two babies at the same time. I had convinced myself that when they arrived life was going to be so difficult trying to manage four kids under four, but perhaps that was a blessing in disgise because it hasnt been nearly as hard as I had imagined. Don't get me wrong life is very busy and I really don't get time for this but I love ready back as my memory is not that flash.
Henry is at kindy which he really loves and Charlie is a little tear away and always on the go. He has to so everything Henry does and don't try doing anything for him as he HAS to do it himself.
Ryan can't wait till he is running around with the other boys and Isla is very quiet and just loves to be with mum. I still find it hard to believe I have a little girl it just blows me away.

First Day

Henry has had his first day at kindy and I think he enjoyed it but he doesnt say much. We headed to Perth at 34 weeks and I had my appointment with the OB and a scan then we headed back to the farm for a week. After that I had an appointment at 35 weeks and I asked if we could get these babies out a bit sooner and he said "not a good idea, we want them to mature as much as possible". I was a bit dissapointed as I was so uncomfortable but I understood. We spent time visiting with Wade and Kelli, Shane and Tracy, Grandma & Grandpa Meyers. I spent a week in Perth by myself while Carol had the kids at the farm. They arrived back in Perth a few days before Nov 27th. I had a lot of braxton hicks at night time and I would think "oh this is it" but when I got up they stopped. I needed to pee about 10 times a night and this was very paifull because it was so difficult to get up. On the 26th Damon started to drive to Perth for the birth the following day.

Thursday 26th November 2009

I realised in the morning that after I did a pee I still had a bit of fluid comming out but I couldnt decide if my bladder had given up (I didnt blame it) or my waters were leaking. I spoke to Damon and he suggested I ring the hospital. I rang the hospital and they said to come in right away, I asked if I could wait until Damon got there and we could go in together but she said to come in now. I rang Damon to meet me at the hospital. I put a pad in and Carol, Henry and I headed for the hospital. They decided that I was thining and getting ready for labour with a hind water leak so everyone started to prepare for an immediate ceaserian. Damon arrived and Carol decided it was time her and Henry headed which really upset Henry becasue he wanted to stay with dad. The anethasist came in with his fly down and Damon thought he was going to preform the ceaser. We were taken to the prep room by theatre and I had the epidural put in my back. He put the touno around my arm then started doing something else and I thought my arm was going to fall off, his assistant was really nice and she was wispering about him behind his back. So in we go and the ceaser starts. I had requested that I wanted skin to skin contact with both babies before they are wisked off by the pediatrician and I wanted to see the after birth (just curious). I was so scared about being cut into but so excited about finally meeting my babies and seeing if they are boys or girls. So it startes and with in seconds they show me a boy and the first thing that pops into my head is "I have four boys, for sure" then they wisk him away and suddenly they say here is the next one and low and behold its a GIRL. I couldnt believe it, everyone is congratulating us a boy and a girl, very cleaver apparently. Anyway next they are pulling and pushing my insides and suddenly it starts to hurt and I can feel it quickly getting worse. I don't really remember much after that as apparently they gave me a drug so that I don't remember. I dont remember being in recovery and we didnt have any photos taken in theatre with the babies. Next I remember we are in the room and I am feeding one of them Ryan I think and Isla is wanting a feed. Its a bit blury but I was ringing friends and family.

32 Weeks and counting

I can't believe how long it has been since I wrote here and I hate that because I can't remember what has been happening.

I am getting slower and slower and my belly of course is getting bigger and bigger. On a warm day I am not good for much, I need to just lay around, my ancles swell up alot also. I have had my 28 week scan and all is going well in there, they are growing and are around the same size, just smaller than a singleton at the same stage. I had one appointment in Albany and that was non eventfull, my BP was 130/60 which is fine he said. Next week we head to Perth and we have a growth scan (doc said this will be our last scan) then a doc appo and then an appo with the surgen who will fix my hernia at the sametime as the twins come out. Other than feeling very tired I find it so difficult to roll over in bed at night so Im guessing my tummy is very heavy.

Charlie had a big fall out of his bed and he couldnt walk on one of his legs so we took him to Albany to have is checked out. They said it wouldnt be broken and that he would eventually walk on it. That was a Saturday so by Monday when he still wasnt walking on it we took him to Jerry and they did an x-ray but that showed no brake. Dr Nick said he would soon forget about it and start walking on. He did walk on it but then he would twist it wrong and he would limp some more. Although we decided that it was getting better. The following week Damon and I went to Perth and MIL had the kids and she decided that is was still broken and took him back to Nick who gave a referel to have it x-rayed in Albany. I thought MIL should have told us she was taking him back to the doc but she didnt until that night. The original doc who looked at him said exposing his body to the x-ray machine was worse when he knew it wasn't broken. Anyway I did as MIL wanted and took him to Albany to have the x-ray and still nothing so a good few weeks later, now,and he is absolutly fine. Alas he has been sleeping in his cot and he is only starting to show interest in his bed recentley.

Aaron has been here a good few weeks know and he is pretty good to have around, he likes to cook so about once a week he cooks us a meal and sometimes he even does the dishes. I had to force him to let me do his laundry.

We went to Bremer Bay yesterday afternoon and a quick play on the sand and then we headed to the pub for a meal. I didn't cope well yeasterday as I'm sure it was something like 35-40'c way way to hot and I couldn't find a way to keep cool. It was also very windy.

Week 26

MIL has been down most days this week painting the lounge room for us and today she put the blinds back up and it look great. I'm not sure if the blinds match but they will do until we decide what we are going to do.

Today I asked Henry if he wanted to feel the twins move in my tummy and he came running and said "I'd love too". He has decided he is getting two sisters and their names are Moggie and Twin.

Tonight at dinner Henry passed Charlie a yoghurt and Charlie said "Ta". I know its not much but I think he can talk he just chooses to be a big noise around the place instead of talking.

The workman arrives tomorrow so it will be interesting to see how I go with the extra chores I'll have, I'm having a hard times keeping up with what I already have.

I spoke to Prema and she has gotten a job so she won't be comming to help out before the twins arrive. MIL has said she will help out around the home with floors and washing and stuff. The biggest problem will be when we go to Perth and it will be just me and the kids, I'm not sure how I will manage that. Damon needs to stay at the farm and mum will be here for six weeks after I get home and she will be bringing her horses so she doesn't want to come to Perth. I would get a live in Mother Help although the until is not big enouogh to give them a room. This also leaves us with no one to have the boys when the twins are born but we could probably organise this although if the twins come early then back to square one. I am a bit lost about this and not sure what to do???????

Charlie sleeps in a bed

Well I am finally over this terrible cold that has been lingering for so long. I still have to cough a bit in the morning to clear my lungs but thats not so bad, at least I can breath again, all the green snot has gone.

Charlie has spent 4 of the past 5 nights in his big bed, and 3 day time naps in there also. The second night he came out 6 times so I put him in his cot and that day I put him in the cot for his day sleep, one day he was at grandmas so she put him in the cot. Everyother night he has not come out at all but Henry has gone to bed at the same time as him. Day time naps, I wait until about 12 when he is well tired and put him down then and he has not come out at all. I can't really remember what age Henry was but Charlie is 17 months.

At my doc appointment last week my BP was 110/60. The last few days my feet have been swelling up a bit. Im finding it more difficult to get comfortable at night so I toss and turn alot and therefor am not getting enough sleep and are more tired during the day. I really notice that if I have a big day then Im not much good the next day.

24 Weeks

24 Weeks already, so only 8 weeks till we go to Perth to wait and then another 3.5 after that until delivery unless they decide to come sometime before that. It is going so quickly and sometimes I think not quick enough cos I just want to meet them and find out what they are and name them, but I know they will be here all too soon.
My sister who was going to stay with me in Perth has decded that maybe she had better look for another job and stay where she is. This leaves me in a real pickle, Damon has to stay here because its harvest and he will come to Perth for the birth and following days. The unit is very small only two bedrooms so I was counting on my sister sleeping on the sofa bed in the lounge room and taking the kids out alot while I rested. I'm not sure who else we can get to do this. Its a big ask.

Henry has discovered facial expressions over the past month or two and he shows us his happy, angry, sad, shocked, surprised face. Charlie likes to get into Henrys bed so I guess he is ready to move out if the cot, he is seventeen months old and I can't really remember but I think Henry was in a bed at this stage. We have everything ready to go, Damon just needs to put the bed together.

Time Fly's

So much has been happening and I wish I could remember everything. Firstly, about a month ago we swapped houses with the inlaws. What a relief, this house is so much better and its going to make life so much easier when the twins arrive. I do feel for the inlaws as they are now in a really shitty house. I don't think they realised quite how bad it was until now. I am still trying to get all the boxes organised and today mil has the kids so should go get on with it.

We have been up to Perth twice. Firstly for our 20 week scan, both babies are the size of a 20 week baby so the lady said it would be good if they slowed down with there growing other wise they are going to be pretty big. The next week we headed to Perth again this time with the kids and stayed a week. Damon had a farm workshop for two days and I had the Pink concert on the friday night. Prema came and stayed at the farm in our week between being in Perth so that was nice.

22 Weeks and 6 Days Pregnant with fraternal twins, sex unknown, we like surprises. I have been feeling exhausted most of the time, I feel like I can't cope with the two little ones that I already have and it scares me to think how will I manage when the other two arrive. I have a cold at the moment as do the boys and I can't breather at all due to a blocked nose and my head feels like its going to explode.

And so they do grow

I thought I should be keeping a record, for which I am pretty hopeless, about what the kids are up to.

Henry is gowing up and this is exciting but I feeling life is so busy that I don't get a chance to enjoy him. We were at a friends place the other day and Henry walked in and asked straight away "where are the toys" (he had never been to their place before). Suzie led him to the toys and he grabed a game off the shelf and Suzie said "oh I think you may be a bit young for that game".. He opens the box and says "its ok, its got instructions" Suzie was so blowen away she asked him how old he was and he said three and said "are you sure your not a short 5 or 6 year old". She then come and asked me how old he was because she was not convinced he was olny 3.

Little Charlie is understanding more and more each day. He can close the door when asked. He insists on feeding himself with a spoon and fork and grabs it off you if you try, and he is doing a great job at it. If you say dance, he does a little jig. I can't think of anything else so I will update as think of things.

We are moving house next weekend so I hope that goes smoothly.
I still feel pretty good although I think I may have sinisitus and I will visit the Doc tomorrow.

Feeling Better!! 16 weeks 4 days

Well I have been so sick, I couldn't bear to get on the computer. I started vomiting at 8 weeks and was not able to keep anything down and felt like I had a massive hangover that wouldnt ease all day. I started taking Maxalon to stop the viomiting which it did thank god but it did nothing for the nausia. At about 15 weeks I started to feel better and have just stopped taking the maxalon. I feel I have more energy and am not so tired all the time. I have been for my twelve week scan and both babies are doing really well, I also went to the OB in Perth and he was really good. Her said we could deliver the babies at 37-37 half weeks so I am pretty happy about that, I thought he would say something like he wanted to deliver at 34 weeks. Blood pressure is all good at 108/78. The OB wants me in Perth from 33 weeks so that is the last week in October and if they stay in, then they should be delivered end of November. Not sure where we will stay because grandad is getting rid of the unit and its harvest time so Damon will need to be on the farm. Something to think about anyway.

I think I have come to grips with the fact I am having twins and am starting to get pretty excited although Im not sure how I will manage especially with having my hands full already with the boys.

We have started moving our stuff to Carols and she has pretty much packed up her house and is now painting for us so we should do the big more in the next few weeks. Im pretty excited about that.

I have been trying to remember all the funny things Henry says but because I have not been here in so long I forget. Henry doesn't much like mash potato so I said "how about you try it with tomato sauce on top". Before he tried it he said "its a bit fruity" then after he tried it he said "It tastes like dirt" but he ate it all.

One, two, three, four??

So after an anxious week debating with myself, we finally found out what the future holds yesterday afternoon.
Damon and I went to town with Henry and we left Charlie at home with Grandma. I felt very anxious all day and couldn't eat. They day went on and on for ever and 3pm never seemed to come around. Anyway it finally did and I waited in the waiting room nearly ready to burst open with the litre of water I had to drink. A lady comes out and calls us in and gets started and she asks what we are there for and I say to see if I am carrying twins. So she spins the machine around to show me the two babies. So there is no mistaking it its definitely twins!!

All looks good and they cant see a reason as to why I have been spotting, although it seems to have stoped now anyway. They measured 7w6d and one was ever so slightly smaller than the other.

What two!!

I went to town for Henry's swimming lesson yesterday and I had made an appointment at my doc's office but with a different doc as mine is leaving. I turned up and they said that doc was at the other office across town, so we get back in the car and drive over but its no biggie as we still waited 15mins before we go in. I asked if he has an ultrasound machine and he wheels it in so its not as good as at the other office. But anyway he has a look and oh my god there are two sacks, so does this mean twins????? At the other office the baby at 7 weeks looks the size of your hand but on this machine its only 2cm long so I couldn't see much detail. Anyway one sack was half behind the other so he couldn't see if there was a baby in it but there is a baby measuring 7 weeks and five days in the front sack. I got a referral for a date scan for next Wednesday and we will see then if there are two babies.

I told Damon and he was as freaked out as I was because I'm not sure how I will go with 4 kids under 4.... He said maybe we will have to get a house cleaner which would be fabulous but can I still have one if there is only one baby??

I have been feeling really tired and have no energy to do anything and I have been taking strong iron tablets which has been doing nothing. So maybe that would explain it if there where two babies sucking the life out of me..

So until next Wednesday I wont know......

Weddings and Babies

We went to Kalgoorlie for Easter weekend and for my brother Jesse's wedding. We went to Esperance on Wed and stayed there the night and then continued on to Kal the following day. Mum picked up the cake on Thurs and I decided to ice it on Friday but the cake was so much bigger then I hads expected, 14inches is huge. So I gave icing it a go but the cake was all uneven, almost two cms higher at one corner any way I didnt think is was a very good job but it didnt look to bad at the end if you didnt look to closely.

My period was due on the Tuesday but it still had not arrived on the Thursday so i went and got a p test and nearly fell over when the test was posative. So yes we have baby number three on the way. Although we were pretty surprised we are also excited, we were thinking about number three but not trying for another six months. Charlie will only be 20 months when this one is born. I have done some research and have decided to go with a VBA2C as I believe this is safer than an elective c-section. I had a failed atempt at a vbac with Charlie but I am confident I know what went wrong there and I will change all that this time round. My main problem this time is to try a vbac I need to be in Perth 5 hours away and this baby is due in the middle of harvest. Rest of the weekend next post.

Charlie turned one

Well how fast does a year go by, let me tell you it goes very, very fast when you have a new baby that suddenly turns ONE!! My golly, golly gosh, I really love the fact that Charlie is just about walking. As he stands unaided waiting for that little bit more confidence that will alow him to take that very step that will thrust him into a toddler.... With each day I see the confidence building and in a way I can't wait but at the same time I feel the pang of sandness wash over me as I no longer have a little baby anymore.

Untill next time........ I hope to ttc next month or so... It took one month to fall with Henry and six months to fall with Charlie, we or should I say I was hoping for an 18month age gap but got two years so this time I am aiming for two years so lets see what happens.... I feel for all the woman whose blogs I read who have so much trouble falling so I should and I do feel very blessed for the two precious boys we have..

We had a little party at playgroup for Charlie and it was very nice and fuss free. Henry is doing really well with going to the toilet, I may even venture to Albany pullup free tomorrow although I probably just jinxed it by writing this on here.

Upgrade

I'm pretty excited, I upgraded from my Canon 400D to the 450D with the twin lense and I also got an external flash. Of course there is not a lot of difference between the two but I am excited non the less. Yesterday I registered to sell my photos on istockphoto, so I cant wait to see what they come back with for my three sample photos. In four weeks, easter weekend my brother gets married and I have offered to be the photographer, it was going to be a tiny wedding but suddenly it has blowen out and they are having groom and bridesmaids so I will have to learn a few tricks pretty quick smart so the photos are not just good but fantastic. I am also making well not making because we have ordered the actual cakes but I am doing the icing and the decorating of the wedding cake.

Molly and Me is not going so well at the moment, we have done a bit of advertising around the place and with the quokka. We have had an add in the quokka for two weeks so far and only got one order out of it. Tomorrow we will take some photos of the kids in winter stock and put on the website. We are also going to work out some other advertising ideas.

So Henry is three and he still is in a reggressing from toilet training. I can't stand it that he is still peeing in his pants.

Charlie is so sticky at the moment, if Damon or I leave the room then he starts screaming and doesnt stop till you come back for him. For quit a while now, when you are getting him undressed for the bath he lifts his legs one at a time to have his pants taken off. He chucks the shits by putting his head down between his legs and cries. He will be one in just over a week, I can't believe it.

Pirates, Pirates, Pirates

We just had a week in Perth and Mandurah visiting with friends and family. Crystal, Simon and Jake come over from QLD so we court up with them in Perth and then went to Mandurah for two nights to see them again. We had Shane and the girls come over with Linda and we all went to the park for a play and lunch and Tracey met us there and it was really nice. We then headed to the water park for a swim (pretty hot day) and then a lovely italian restaurant for dinner. While in Perth we headed to the Zoo, Henry and Charlie really loved that. We also court up with Aunty Hilary and Geoff and the girls. Of course we also made it to Ikea for a fun filled morning, I never bore of that place. Had also planned on catching up with Kristy and Sarah but there just was not time.

When we got home I had two very busy days getting ready for Henrys Pirate Party. All the kids had a lot of fun even though I didnt play any games. They all played and ate. Cant believe Henry is 3 already and Charlie will be one in two weeks.

Charlie is a cheeky little so and so, he is so adorable. He really loves to make you laugh and spends a great deal of time pulling funny faces and as soon as you laugh he laughs along with you.

When in Perth we ran out of Zantac and for a few days he was fine and then he started waking in the night so we put him right back on it. While he has been standing at the furniture he has let go a few times and just stood all on his own.

All Done!!

So harvest has finally finished and all the grain is dried and cleaned, bar one long bag that is for feed grain. I guess seeding starts soon and we will barely get a brake. We head to Perth next week to see Crystal and Simon while they are on holiday from Queensland. When we get back I have a Pirate Party planned for Henrys 3rd birthday.

I got a little teary today when I realised my boys are growing up. Yesterday Charlie stood and let go for about 5 seconds and was standing all by himself looking at something in his little hands. He is such a cuddly little man, he comes to me when I am sitting on the couch and he just lays on me.

2000T of garin to dry!!

Well harvest finally finished although they are know madly cleaning and drying 2000T of grain. So Damon is working at the block and still not comming home till very late. I will be glad when its all over for the year, Im sure by the time they finally finish it will be time to get ready for seeding. I guess it never ends.

You can't keep Charlie still for a second he is just flat out all the time. He has four teeth up top now and three down bottom. He still spends most of his time standing at the furniture so I hope he doesnt start walking anytime soon, he just turned ten months. Charlie has been sleeping through most nights, 6.30pm - 7am.

I have come to my wits end with toilet training Henry. Some days he will take himself off to the toilet and I never hear a thing about it. Although over the last few weeks he does it all in his joxs so we go through about 4 clothes changes a day and I am so over it, he is back in nappies. He does a poo every morning and of late he does it and then takes his pull up off and poo goes everywhere. This has been making me hit the roof and I yell and even screem on occasions. I have since changed my ways and I ignore the negative behaviour and praise when he uses the potty and I find this works much better although we still have a few accidents. I googled toilet training recession for that clue.

I have been loosly following the weight watches diet and I lost 2kgs and put 1 back on so i have 5kgs to go. I had hoped to get them off before Crystal, Simon and Jake visit at the end of Feb. three weeks till they get here so I should hopefully loose three by then.

Cristen and I put on a sale 30% off all summer stock and we have had no orders what so ever so time to do some brain storming as we need to order winter stock and we don't have enough cash.

Its all over for the festive season!!

Christmas and New Year have has come and gone with a flash. Peter, Mum and Prema spent xmas with us and we had a day at the beach with Carol and Trevor also.

Me and the kids headed to Bremer Bay on New Years eve to stay at the rented house with Bec, Steve and the kids. Lynne, Noel, Travis and his friend Eliza and Becs cousin Dawn and her kids also turned up. Damon did arrive around 9pm. Around two Damon ventured into bed from the pub when Henry woke and cried for around an hour and Charlie also was not very happy. We had a great day at the bech for new years day, with everyone having a go on the jetski and heaps of swimming. Henry was not happy and just wanted to lay in the tent on dad and it turned out he had a fever but a shot of panadol soon cheered him up enough to have some food and a sleep. That night Henry had a temperature of 40.1 so we gave him panadol and Nurophen and very slowly his temp came down. Unfortunatly after two nights Damon had to head back to the farm to carry on with harvest, although me and the kids stayed on another three days.

So as of today we only have a couple days of harvest left. Although we have grain bagged up everywhere so not sure how long it will be before all that is sorted.

Charlie has started crawling properly and has two new teeth, top right middle and bottom left and about three ready to break through at anytime. He loves to dance and he laughes all the time.

Henry is still potty training and accidents are frequent although he is getting better and some days are better than others. A few weeks ago Henry walked into the kitchen with his joxs and track pants around his ankles and a measuring tea cup in his hand. He then said he had done a wee in front of the tv and his wee was in the cup. Also a few weeks ago I couldn't find Henry but I could hear his voice, I ran around the house looking for him and I finally found him "Im using the big potty" he had his pant at his ankles, toilet seat up and his balls resting on the ball
"Im trying to do a wee".

Nearly there!!

Charlie is finally sitting up all on his own, just shy of nine months. He is still commando crawling all over the place and pulls himself into a standing position at the furniture. This morning he was playing with something and kept saying dada dada dada, he is so cute. I am trying to teach him to clap but he is not all that interested. Henry did everything earlier that Chartlie but I did have more time to spend with him, so that must make a little bit of difference.

Henry is pretty toilet trained. He has not had an accident for days and even when we went to town and to Jo's 30th lunch on the weekend, he had a dry pull up. At Jo's lunch I went over to the slide because I could not see Henry and I found him behind a tree with his pants and pull up around his ankles. He had done a wee on the lawn but Lochie said he was trying to do a poo so I rushed him over to the toilet.

Today Henry and I have spent most of the morning baking for Christmas. First we made christmas tree none bake bickies, which we will take to playgroup tomorrow morning for the kids. Then we made Damon's favourite Nuts and Bolts. We then made french toaste and bacon for lunch which was very yummie.

Charlie is finally sitting up all on his own, just shy of nine months. I got a heap of xmas shopping done and of course the groceries. I also managed to get my eye lashes and brow dyed and plucked, they were desperate for it, you couldn't even tell I had eyebrows. When I got home, I was standing in the kitchen when Henry noticed I had arrived and he came running up to me and stood just infront of me as I kneeled down he said "I missed you today mummy". It was so cute I could have cried.

My sister rang me and said she had accepted a job offer in Queensland so she is moving to the other side of the country in mid January. He commando crawls all over the place but has no interest what so ever in sitting. I am finding this most inconvenient at bath times as I have to hold him in the bath or put him in the holder which requires more water. Well Im sure soon enough he will be sitting. He is a cheeky little bugger and gives the cutest, biggest grins and is sleeping pretty well now.

Henry is the ruler of the house and I have come to realise that what Henry wants, Henry gets. He is a very determined little boy, I am always finding a sept at the fridge or pantry. He has worked out that if he unlatches the latch at the pantry and then moves the step away the door will open. He doesnt bother to ask for anything, he is independant. He is getting pretty good using the potty, he takes himself off to the potty most of the time and half the time I don't even know he has gone. Although we are still having an accident or two everyday, but Im sure he will have it down pat by christmas (well I'm hoping).

Well christmas is just around the corner and I'm not all that organised just yet, it's more to do with who are and are not buying present for. Henry is getting a bike so that will be exciting, Damon and I both have bikes that have practicely never been used and I would like to get a seat for Charlie to go on one of our bikes. It will be nice to take them all up to Kalbarri next year. For our christmas cards this year I tried to take some xmas photos of the kids but they really were not very interested. So I ended up using one from the family photo shoot earlier in the year so everyone will be getting a family photo rather than one of the boys and I got photo cards made from Snapfish.

There he was standing in a puddle

Charlie is commando crawling flat out all over the place. If he is put down in one spot and you look back a minute later he is on the other side of the room. He still refuses to sit up, I sat him up in the bath the other day and he sat nice and straight for about 30 seconds then he lay back. I try to sit him down but he just falls back onto his back and thinks its a great game.

Last Thursday I bought S26 Formula AR for babies with reflux and Charlie slep all through the night until 4am when I gave him another bottle and he then slept till 7. Then Friday night the same and Saturday night he had his first sleep over at Grandma and Grandpa'a where he woke briefly a couple of times. Sunday night we didn't hear a peep out of him until 5am when he had a bottle and went back to sleep until around 6.30am. Before Thursday we have had a lot of trouble with Charlie waking all through the night with reflux so the formula must work.

We have decided that Henry at 2yrs and 8mths should be using the potty instead of nappies. The other day I walked past the lounge room to see a bare dumb so I asked Henry what he was doing and he said "I've done poos so I'm taking my nappy off". That day he did two wees in the potty. Today I took his nappy off and sat him on the potty and gave him a drink and ran the tap but nothing happened. Later I remembered he had not peed yet so I asked him if he needed a wee and he said he had done one and he led me to the potty and there was a bit wee in the potty, I was very impressed. Later I asked him again if he needed to wee and there he was standing in a little puddle and wet tracky pants.

I'm Back Hopefully

It was October one year that I last wrote here. I plan to keep writing as I would like to keep a record of the kids for later.

I gave birth by emergency caeserian again (I tried to go natural). After seven hours of labour my OB decided I wasn't actually in labour there for I would need a caeser. Although I had been awake all night with strong contractions, I did not feel exhausted as I had with Henry. Charlie Robert was born on the 25th March 2008, at 8.20am weighing 8p 9oz and was 53cm long and he looked just like his brother. An hour later I breast fed him which I was unable to do with Henry due to the drugs causing me to slip in and out of sleep.

I have been so busy lately with a new business my friend Cristen and I started. Its a online childrens clothing and accessories business. We have the website ready for stock to be uploaded and we have done two launches, one out here and one in Albany. On top of this I started doing a Doula course online but have found practically no time for reading. My horse Sav came back to live and I have no time for him let alone for Jip. I should also be doing book work for the farm so I can get a good grasp on how it all works. Hopefully things settle down soon and I will get more time to play with the boys.

Charlie is seven months old and he is comando crawling all over the place although he will not sit up. His reflux seems to be settling down and he is starting to sleep for longer periods. He never use to sleep for longer than 20min at a time during the day and now he sleeps for 2-3 hours in the morn and 1-2 in the arvo. The last few nights he had been only waking once. For the last two weekends I have completed and past my Advanced Ambulance Care Course and Grandma had the boys for all four days. So Charlie had to use a bottle for his feeds, I almost didn't do the course because I didn't really want him using a bottle. I was right to be concerened about the bottle and he has now completely weaned himself off the breat. I chose to give up breat feeding Henry when he was seven months but I wanted to feed charlie until he was one so I was a bit upset that he didn't want to breast feed any longer.

Been a While

Well it has been about ten or eleven weeks since I last blogged. I am feeling great although tired and can saftely say I am over my morning sickness, all day sickness. The feeling of being on the computer just made me feel worse and house work was on the out and out. I am still trying to catch up on all the things that just got left when I was not feeling well. My sickness lasted until about week 13-14 and I am now week 17. The time has gone so fast and March will be here in no time at all.

Henry is growing up so much and it is so exciting yet a bit sad at the same time. He is talking all the time and says so many words and a few sentences as well.

I got a call from my doctor yesterday and my test results have come back. I have tested high for Spina Bifita again. With Henry I had to go straight to Perth for an ultrasound but this time she is going to wait for 19 week scan and see what that says. Henry's ultrasound said everything looks normal so hopefully this one will to.

Pregnant!!!

Well I am pregnant , six weeks tomorrow. I was hoping to get pregnant about seven months ago and have a September baby and an 18 month age gap but a two year ago gap will be fine I'm sure. I found out the other day my brothers girlfriend is eight weeks pregnant so they will have a 18 month ago gap between Jai and the next one.

Henry went to Sophie's 3rd birthday party on Sunday, dressed up as Spot the Dog. He had a great time playing with all the kids and eating party food.

He talks so much at the moment, most of it is not words that I understand though. I'll be cooking or doing the dishes and he will come up and hug one leg then he says ahah.... I love it....

Yesterday I was cleaning up in the porch and I put a few pairs of shoes that we wear often behind the door.. My gumboots and blundstones didn't really fit so I placed then nicely by a pot plant. Henry must have thought what the boots were doing by the pot plant when they go behind the door, so next time I went into the porch I noticed my boots were gone so I started looking for them. Henry had put them behind the door with the rest of the shoes. Henry loved having them stay and he would show off to them all day.

We went to Bremer Bay for the night on Saturday with a few others and stayed at the caravan park. Henry had his very first stay over at grandmas, she loved it and said Henry was fantastic. She had to go check on him at 5am because she had not heard from him all night and was a bit worried, but I had told her that he goes to bed at 6.30pm and you don't hear a thing from him until 7am. I am very lucky, my next child will probably be a terror (hope not).

Anyway Prema has a Pit Bull dog that she brought with her and it ran away on the second day and was nowhere to be seen for two days. We bought a new computer from Dell over the internet so I hope its a good one.

Well its been a while since I have written. I really wish i could get on top of this a write often so we have a good log of Henry's life. Anyways!!!!!!!

A couple weeks ago we went to Perth for a suprise party for Tracey's 30th. She was surprised so that was great. Cristen and I stayed out after dinner with Shane and Tracey to celebrate. The kids went home with their fathers and Carol and Trevor took Tracey's home. I got back to the hotel about 12.30am and Henry was awake but Damon was fast asleep as he wasn't feeling well, the heater was flat out and the tv on. Henry was hypo, i'm guessing from all the cake and ice cream at the restaurant, he wouldn't go back to sleep for what felt like hours. In the morning when Damon had a shower Henry joined him and slipped over banging his head. Damon then told me he had fallen off the bed the night before. What a weekend I bet Henry was glad to get home.

A few days later we headed off to Kalgoorlie for a week to catch up with family and show Steve around before he left. Henry had all his hair cut off to a number three, I love it and its much easier to manage short. We had a nice time in Kal although as usuall the time went to fast and it was time to come home again.

A week later we were heading to Perth for two nights to catch up with Crystal and Simon while they were over.

Well its been a busy few weeks so Im glad if nothing much happens for the next few months.

Forteen Months 16 Days

Henry is already forteen months and sixteen days old. He has been taking a few steps here and there over the last few months but last wednesday he just got up and started walking all over the house. It was so sudden and unexpected, theres no turning back now, Im sure he will be running around by next week. He talks all the time although most of the time we have no idea what he is saying. Some of the things he does say are: mummy, where's daddy, horsie, doggie, teddie, o'oh, I will add to this list as I can't think of the others.

Henry had a huge b'day party and everyone in the district came and we ate and drank into the small hours of the night. Aunty Prema, Uncle jess, Aunty Elsie and cousin Jai all come down from Kalgoorlie for the celebration.

We then headed off to Sydney for 8 days with Nan and Pop which was fantastic. Mum and I loved the Parelli Conference that went for two days while Damon, Henry and Pop took in the sights of Sydney. We headed to the Hunter Valley for some wine tasting and went up the Sydney tour, Sydney Aquarium, Museum and many other sights.

At Last

Well...... at last I have returned........ So much has happened obviously since my last post over two months ago.

Henry will be ONE in a week and a half, boy does time fly. We are having a big party and lots and lots of people are coming to help us celebrate. He has turned into such a big boy, he crawls all around the place at lightning speed but is not really interested in walking just yet. He spends most of his days exploring the house and boy is he noisy.

Well we are a bit devastated at the moment because our pet sheep Macy has disappeared off the face of the earth. She lives around the house eating the new shoots on my roses but she never wonders and thinks she is a dog, she is scared of sheep. We think she may have been bitten by a snake but that's means her body would be around some place and its not.

We head off to Sydney for the Pat Parelli conference in two weeks and I can't wait. Hopefully it gives me some inspiration to get out there and do some work with my horses. We are there for eight days and the conference is for two days so we will check out Sydney.

Nearly Christmas

Christmas is nearly upon us and I can't wait. He says mum all the time and can say 'ta', he is very noisy all the time, he stands up at any furniture he can and just yells and kisses, he wants to give me kisses all the time. He is at the most amazing age so far.

We went to the Christmas Tree at playgroup on Saturday which was fun and Henry sat on Santas knee and got a present.

Jacko is still with us, we wont know what to do with ourselves once he leaves on Saturday. We went to the beach on Sunday and took the four wheel motorbike and the Jetski. The boys played with their bigboy toys and towing each other on the biscuit. I lay in the tent reading and Henry ate lots of sand.

Chevy has had his operation and the leg seems to be healing well. I am going to take off his bandages today.

We have had some bush fires near hear the last few days, Damon has been grading some tracks today and yesterday so they can back burn. The fire was beside Ross' although was heading in the other direction.

Well I got my period back on Sunday morning, I forgot what it was like seeing as I haven't had one for a year and a half. We have decided to start trying this month for our second baby. I got pregnant straight away with Henry so we will see what happens this time.

Moving along

I just put Henry down for his afternoon nap, I'm afraid I am getting into a bad habit. I realized the other day that he can hold his own bottle, so I can put him in his cot with his bottle and off to sleep he goes once botbot is finished. I am a little worried that he will become relient on his botbot to get to sleep.

I had planned to get pregnant this month so we could have a September baby. I want to have the kids close in age so this makes for an 18 month age gap. I talked to Damon about it the other night and he wasnt sure that we should start trying just yet, I don't think he thinks he has spent enough time with Henry let along add another child to that. I did remind him that it would be nine months before the next one would be born. He asked did I think we could handle another one, I had to laugh at that.
I introduced the bottle at 6 & half months and he has been slowly weened since then. He has been only breast feeding once a day for the last month and is not really interested anymore. I would have stuck with breast feeding only but I have been planning to get pregnant in December so felt that I needed to wean him in order to get my period back although its not back yet. Not sure what to do about that.

Yesterday we got Henry's first tractor with farm points earned from buying chemical. He is a bit little for it just yet but he will grow into it. Dad loves pushing him around on it. He still comando crawls but he is pulling himself up on the furniture much faster now.

Chevy goes in for his operation tomorrow, they are going to remove 1.5cm of the bone that is not growing, then the bone should grow back longer to replace the removed bone. So hopefully all will be ok after this.

Boy does time fly, Henry is almost nine months old and it only feels like yesterday we had him, although I hardly feel like there was a time we never had him.

He had his six month vaccination on Monday as he had a chest infection at 6 months, it was also his 8th month checkup. Sheree (health nurse) did a test with a little light, Henry should follow the light in a circle which he did but he is such a little genius as he followed the light in a cross as well which Sheree said most babies cant do until there 12 months old. When I told Damon he asked Henry if he was going to be a genius like his dad......

On occasions he does crawl properly although most of the time he commando crawls. He spends most of his time pulling himself up on the furniture and he is learning to walk around the furniture. Sheree said it wont be long and he will be walking.....oh my god.......

We had an inch of rain last night, not good, could have given it to use two months ago.... We haven't finished harvesting the wheat yet. Doesn't matter much to the barley as that has already been down graded to feed. they wont take the barley off until the buyer is ready to come and get it.

Looks like we will be finished harvest in the next week or so, so should be going home for Xmas, I cant wait I love Christmas....... He seems to enjoy the farm work so far and even mentioned he wouldn't mind a farm of his own one day. I managed to get the room ready in time which was a huge mess and now all the mess is outside the room. Damon really enjoys having him to work with and they get along so well and even play jokes on each other.

Crop is not very good, canola has averaged 0.4tonne per hectare and I think we should be getting 1.2t per hc. today they moved home to Kalinda. They have finished at the block except for wheatly (barley mixed with wheat) that shouldn't exist.

Yesterday I took Chevy to town to have his leg looked at. Annmarie (vet) took heaps of x-rays of his leg and found one of the bones in his leg isn't growing, that's why it sticks out to the side. He is seven months old and a real drama. Chevy has had a broken leg and with his cast on he was bitten by a white tail spider which caused a huge sore under his cast. We happened to be away at the time so my mother in law who was looking after the dogs while we were away noticed something wasn't right so she drove two hours to the vets who found the wound under the cast. What happened next was a leg saving operation, four more visits to the vets and everything looks fine, leg saved.

The last few days Chevy has been limping and holding the leg up and it sticks out to the side. I don't know what is wrong with it but I'm not impressed.

I had planned on getting a female border collie next year for breeding and as a sheep dog but with my luck I think I had better not get anymore dogs.

Molly our English Staffy only has three legs, when we first moved to the farm my father in law accidentally ran her over and broke it, so a two hour mercy dash to the vet at 9pm on a Saturday night during a storm. Our road out was closed due to flooding so we had to take the long way out. She has only had three legs for a year and a half now and she never misses a beat.

So we nearly had two three legged dogs........

Grain samples

Today I did my first ever canola samples, I took two yogurt containers full of canola to the farm next door who have a thingy (have to find out its name) to test for moisture. If the moisture is to high then they cant harvest until the moisture to comes down. One was to high but the other was ok although had heaps of bugs and sticks in it.

HP has another tooth that explains the restless nights. So that's his seventh tooth and he's only eight months old. Maybe I don't mash his food enough and he thinks he needs more teeth to get through it. He has been commando crawling for a while now and doesn't look like he will crawl properly as he pulls himself up to standing on what ever he can so we think he may walk before he crawls properly, oh who knows.

In the begining

I probably should have started this when we first moved to the farm but better late than never. DP was a fitter and the workshop supervisor at the mining maintenance company we both worked for, I did job costing in the office. Damon proposed on a beach in Phuket then we got married in Dunborough WA and moved to the farm. His parents have been farming in the south of wa for about 27 years. They purchased the farm behind them for us to live.

Well what a shock. I thought I would adjust well and I suppose I did, I just didn't realise how isolated it was. 60kms to the nearest small town and a two hour drive to the major town for groceries and what have you. First of all we had to get the house up to scratch to live in so my mother in law and I spent all our days painting, sanding, more painting and you would be amazed at how much a coat of paint can change a room.

Just three months into our marriage we discovered we were already pregnant, we had planned it, just didn't expect it to happen in the first month. Nine months later HP arrived by emergency cesarean. HP is now 8 months old.
